I have 4 years of tutoring experience in different standardized tests. I have experience tutoring in both a classroom setting and one-on-one sessions. After many years of practice, I was able to obtain my ideal scores on standardized exams. *I enjoy tutoring because I am familiar with test-taking techniques and tips to boost scores, and would like to share them with you. * I am a well rounded tutor with excellent academic credentials and capabilities. I can produce a transcript of my scores if confirmation is needed. * By combing through a plethora of numerous test guides for the new SAT and ACT, I developed the skills necessary to perform well on the test and can pass on tips and tricks for exams. After 6 weeks of tutoring, I was able to raise a student's score from 27 to a 35 on the ACT. * I have tutored students of different ages and from different backgrounds, and I will do my best to adapt my teaching style to best suit the students. In addition, I have experience teaching in a classroom setting. Objective based training and detailed explanations will be provided.

Hobbies I have during my free time include working on CAD projects, finding new music, computer gaming, and trying to keep fit. I also have a few fringe enthusiasms such as selvage denim and 3D printing. My musical tastes are wide and varied; although I am classically trained in violin & got my Diploma in ABRSM when I was 13 and French Horn, I have developed a fondness for heavy and folk metal. My music player is a mix of Icelandic hymns, Iron Maiden, Heidevolk, and Paganini. I prefer the genres of sci-fi and fantasy. The world of Frank Herbert's Dune or Stephen King's series, The Dark Tower, enchant me Books used to make up my world, I would think, as I coughed up paper after paper on my computer screen. My passion for reading was reignited. I realized that books were not a problem to be solved or a question to be answered, but an experience to be absorbed and enjoyed. Pages turned, and the book soon ended, but its messages endured. Years of analytical essays had taught me that each book contained a cache of hidden interpretations and obscured meanings, meant to be uncovered by fastidious, scholarly scrutiny. I never loathed reading as a chore, but I felt pangs of nostalgia every time I picked up the next Greek epic and analogized it with historical events.
