Education
I am a recent graduate of Yale university, majored in Economics, now working for a start-up in the city. While at Yale, I took classes in all disciplines, including history, math, neuroscience, English, and art history. I studied at Oxford University for a year during my junior year, studying Economics and English. I spent summer of 2012 in London, at the London School of Economics, and the summer of 2014 working at Christie's.
Experience
I received a 32 on ACT and 2010 on SAT. I can also help in SAT Subject tests. I've taken: SAT Math II: 740 SAT US History: 700 In the past few years, I have tutored kids in US history, essay writing, and math. I really enjoy teaching kids about subjects that I'm passionate about, following my curriculum and making the topic interesting to them. I have also worked for an education firm that specialize in helping high schoolers apply to college, so I've advised many students on how best to approach the college application process. It is not as daunting as everyone says it is! I am a native Chinese speaker, so can work with students on pronunciation. I have taken French for 6 years, with a semester spent in Paris, and am fairly fluent in the language. I can work with students on a wide range of topics in the language: speaking, writing, grammar, listening, and vocabulary. I also love helping students improve their writing, from fictional pieces to critical essays. I've taken many English classes at Yale, and so I understand the standard that my professors require.
