B.S., Psychology, Northwestern University, 1997. Graduated Summa Cum Laude. Ph.D., Neuropsychology, City University of New York, 2014. I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Psychology at Queens College, and have taught (among other courses) Statistics, Experimental Psychology, Disorders of Childhood and Adolescence, and Neuroscience of Memory. My evaluations (both by students and by observing faculty) have been consistently excellent, and are available by request.
Experience
I have a broad background in tutoring (10 years experience) and college teaching (12 years experience), and have worked with students who are intellectually gifted and with those encumbered with learning and behavioral disorders. From my academic training I have expertise in learning, memory, behavior, and applied neuroscience. I believe this combination of research and practice gives me an outstanding ability to foster learning by building rapport and overcoming the cognitive, behavioral, and educational impediments to learning (which everyone has to some degree). I am happy to work with young children, teens, and adults. For what it's worth, my test scores (SAT, GRE) have always been in the 99th percentile.
