ExperienceI hold a PhD degree from CUNY. I have experience with both tutoring and teaching over the years and have worked with many students of varying abilities. This includes working with both children and adult learners. Because of my educational background, I'm able to understand the road blocks that many students face when learning. I like to make my tutoring sessions fun for both me and my students, so I bring my sense of humor to the table. Both students and faculty have evaluated my skills as a college professor. I am able to motivate my students and have structured lessons that allow them to take in the information well. While I've tutored on many subjects, I've spent a lot of time helping students learn the field of psychology. I've taught on the subjects of personality, cognitive, clinical, and neurobiological psychology, just to name a few. I also help many students with their writing needs. I think it's important to have good organization and to make text sound natural. I work with my students by allowing them to first write and then organize all the information so that it flows well. I think good communication is essential to tutoring well. I'm able to communicate well and to break down difficult information in many ways.
