I have been a math teacher for 29 years I have been tutoring outside of school for over 20 years I have taught all levels of high school math from beginning Algebra to AP Statistics and Calculus I have had great success preparing students for school exams as well as state exams and the SAT I have been named teacher of the year multiple times

I was a high school math teacher in California for 25 years, before moving to New York to work at a high school in Harlem. I am very passionate about the learning of math. I enjoy helping students with their math, and I have been very successful in explaining complicated topics. I volunteer at a GED center once a week, helping adults prepare for the GED exam. I spend Sunday mornings working at a soup kitchen in Manhattan and feel that it is important to help the community. I am very accessible to my students and tutorees, and they often text or call me for help with homework problems. I am frequently contacted by former students who are struggling with their college math courses and ask me to explain things to them because they say that I can explain things better than their college professors. I create and send videos explaining homework solutions for the students I work with.
