- I started studying Jazz performance and music pedagogy at "KU - Klaipeda University" in Lithuania in 2004 - 2007 and transferred to "LMTA - Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy" in Vilnius, Lithuania to obtain bachelor's degree. - I got my second bachelor's in Jazz double bass and pedagogy at "CODARTS - University for the Arts" in Rotterdam, The Netherlands in 2009-2014.
Experience
- I've been teaching privately for over 8 years. - For me to be a tutor means to share my experience and help someone to get into the core of the subject they are willing to learn. - I started playing music at the age of 15 and by 18 I already decided to study music on academic level. My first few ears at the university were very difficult so I took extra ear training music theory and harmony classes outside the school to catch up with the rest of the group. - I played with an MTV-winning Lithuanian band "Happyendless"; won three International jazz awards in the Netherlands with three different bands; appeared on TV and Radio programs in Lithuania, Latvia, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Moldova; have been a member of IJHF (International Jazz Harp Foundation) based in Rotterdam; performed at jazz, world and pop/rock festivals, as well as various venues around Europe, Australia and U.S.
